Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely delivery of materials and services within budget.
  2. Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to secure the best possible terms and conditions.
  3. Supplier Relationship Management: Manage and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
  4. Project Management: Oversee the procurement process for capital and construction projects, ensuring that all necessary steps are taken to ensure successful project delivery.
  5. Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of procurement professionals to ensure that all procurement activities are carried out in accordance with College policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field from a recognized educational institution.
  • Experience: 5 years of proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, with a focus on capital projects and construction.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal skills, strong organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to assess risk and develop effective mitigation strategies.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position that may require working at various VCC locations.
