Fire Alarm Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Engineer to join our team at Proactive Solutions Group Ltd. As a Fire Alarm Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned service and maintenance tasks on a varied customer base, from retail units to office blocks.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Fire System maintenance/installation/design or estimation, with a strong background in electrical design with fire alarm elements. You will also need to have a working knowledge of BS5839 and current Health & Safety legislation.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out planned service and maintenance tasks on a varied customer base
  • Carrying out a range of tasks from small works to commissioning
  • Opportunity to carry out some larger installation work on projects for those with a desire to develop and enhance their install skills
  • Use existing knowledge and experience to fault find
  • Offering a comprehensive service to our customers in accordance with British Standards in a defined area

The successful candidate will be a multi-disciplined fire industry professional, with experience in installation, commissioning, and small day work repairs. You will also need to have a strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work to time-sensitive deadlines.
