Fire Alarm Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Engineer to join our team at Proactive Solutions Group Ltd. As a Fire Alarm Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned service and maintenance tasks on a varied customer base, from retail units to office blocks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out a range of tasks from small works to commissioning, including installation, maintenance, and servicing of fire alarm systems.
  • Opportunity to carry out some larger installation work on projects for those with a desire to develop and enhance their install skills.
  • Use existing knowledge and experience to fault find and troubleshoot fire alarm systems.
  • Offering a comprehensive service to our customers in accordance with British Standards in a defined area.
Requirements:

The ideal Fire Alarm Engineer candidate must have:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Fire System maintenance/installation/design or estimation.
  • FIA Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance Module.
  • Experience of open/close protocol fire alarm systems.
  • Electrical design with fire alarm element.
  • Working knowledge of BS5839 & current Health & Safety legislation.
  • The ability to work to time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Full UK driving licence.

This position services London and surrounding areas. Ideally, you will be multi-disciplined in the fire industry, including installation, commissioning, and small day work repairs.

Salary: £38-45k + commission + benefits.
