This role presents an excellent opportunity for a talented Chef de Partie to support our daily culinary production and collaborate with our senior sous chef to develop and execute the menu for our retail food services within our on-site café.

Ideal candidates will possess outstanding presentation, organizational, and communication skills, along with a genuine passion for culinary arts and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in all facets of food preparation, production, and service.
  • Ensure that the quality and presentation of all dishes align with the company's standards and client expectations.
  • Supervise and mentor kitchen staff and assistants, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Contribute to menu planning and development, considering dietary needs, nutritional guidelines, and seasonal ingredients.
  • Manage inventory control and ordering processes to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing waste.
  • Collaborate with the catering team to execute special events, themed dinners, and other culinary projects.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Support the Head Chef with administrative duties such as scheduling, budgeting, and tracking food costs and inventory.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture by demonstrating leadership, effective communication, and teamwork.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a contract catering environment or educational institution is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards and best practices.
  • Ability to multitask and perform efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Flexible approach to work responsibilities.
