About the Opportunity

Selwood is on the lookout for a dedicated Accounts Receivable Specialist to enhance our dynamic team based at our headquarters. This position presents an excellent chance to contribute to a thriving organization, ensuring that sales are effectively converted into cash flow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain regular communication with clients via phone and email to secure timely payments in line with agreed terms.
  • Ensure compliance with credit limits and conduct regular reviews of credit standings.
  • Identify and address customer inquiries swiftly by collaborating with internal teams for resolution.
  • Keep accounts updated and reconciled, performing regular housekeeping tasks.
  • Monitor contracts closely to ensure adherence to credit policies and assess risk through credit reference checks.
  • Work towards reducing aged debt and enhancing overall Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) metrics.
  • Generate and present debtor reports as scheduled, and manage the timely review and release of contracts on hold.
  • Support sales administration tasks and assist fellow team members in credit control functions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Essential:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong customer service abilities.
  • Experience in credit control.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Self-driven and motivated.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively with a clear prioritization strategy.
  • Logical and thorough problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Intermediate skills in Excel.
  • A collaborative team player.

Preferred:

  • Demonstrated experience in accounts receivable within an accounting context.
