Job Description

Evelyn is a 33-bedded trauma orthopaedic ward that provides care to a range of patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care, liaising with the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity in care delivery.
Key Duties
  • Responsible for the care of patients on the ward, including assessment, development, and implementation of care plans.
  • Monitor and participate in research-based nursing care to meet patient needs, and lead a team to achieve best practices.
  • Review and work to agreed standards of patient care, monitoring outcomes and ensuring compliance with Trust policies and guidelines.
  • Ensure nursing care is provided with consideration for cultural needs and participate in the implementation of relevant nursing research and changes in clinical practice.
  • Contribute to clinical governance initiatives and ensure effective participation in benchmarked standards for quality clinical care.
Person Specification
  • NMC Registered Nurse
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Teaching Qualification or equivalent experience
Essential Skills and Abilities
  • Good clinical skills and a commitment to developing them further
  • A willingness to develop teaching skills
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
