Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as Head of Sales/Sales Director at Stoke Park, a historic luxury estate. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a unique and passionate team, proud of our beautiful estate and committed to delivering an unrivalled experience for guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to increase estate revenue and drive business growth.
- Proactive and reactive sales management to achieve budgeted total revenue for the rooms, conference, leisure and events segment of business at Stoke Park.
- Work in conjunction with the Chief Financial Officer, Special Projects Team and General Manager to produce the Stoke Park 5* standard throughout all the offerings.
- Create memorable and sophisticated events for a wide range of clientele, including corporate partners and high-end individuals.
- Perform daily sales activities, including face-to-face meetings, contracting & rate negotiations, attendance at trade shows, and conduct regular site inspections.
- Effectively liaise with operational departments to guarantee a smooth and tailored experience for clients and guests.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and outside contacts in order to generate new events business and increase revenue.
- Build lasting and productive client/Agent relationships through effective and efficient proactive sales management.
- Seek out new clients and business that would increase revenue for the hotel and estate.
- Assist in creating a sales culture throughout Stoke Park through effective communication and training.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in hotel/estate event sales.
- Prepare and present regular reports and updates to management on events sales performance, market trends, and opportunities.
- Monitor event performance and client feedback and share with the estate teams.
- Respond quickly, professionally and effectively to all client queries and concerns.
- Conduct site inspections and tours to showcase the hotel's capabilities to potential clients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales information and activities.
- Attend industry and networking events to build the client network and promote the hotel brand.
- Negotiate and finalize contracts with clients, including rates and terms and conditions.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a similar role within the hospitality sector.
- Strong knowledge of, and experience of working in, the UK luxury hospitality market.
- Preferably has a relevant degree in Hospitality/Marketing/Sales/Event Management.
- Sales driven, with a can-do positive attitude, great team player and a natural completer finisher on tasks.
- Organized, analytical, with strong sales and negotiation skills.
- Confident, engaging and a clear communicator – excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to take initiative and work autonomously without close supervision.
- Friendly, resilient and approachable.
- Discreet and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Trustworthy, polite and professional.
