Department Overview
The Strategy, Policy & Insight function serves as trusted advisors, providing expert strategies, policy guidance, and audience insights. This newly centralized Audience Insights team aims to be the independent thought leaders at the core of decision-making processes, offering a unified perspective and challenging the business to ensure sustainable growth through data utilization.
Role Objective
Your primary responsibility will be to interpret insights for stakeholders and propose recommendations that empower leaders to make informed and profitable decisions. Within the centralized operational framework, each senior leader will have a dedicated Insight Consultant who will prioritize and align their insight needs with the strategic objectives of the organization. Insight Analysts will source existing analyses, and for specialized requirements, you will coordinate with relevant specialists to present tailored recommendations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engage in negotiations and prioritize insights with senior executives, including the Executive Committee and Chief Marketing Officer, to define the insights portfolio based on team capacity and resolve workload conflicts.
- Maintain effective relationships with designated C-suite and senior leaders, delivering valuable, accurate intelligence that challenges their perspectives and supports their strategic objectives.
- Source insights primarily from internal data, and when necessary, collaborate with specialist teams or external research organizations for bespoke requirements.
- Translate complex data into clear insights, employing storytelling techniques to ensure comprehensibility and applicability in decision-making processes.
- Negotiate a portfolio of deliverables with executive stakeholders, managing priorities and team capacity across Insight Analysts and specialists, and occasionally overseeing external research projects.
- Advise on innovative approaches to insights based on market trends, new data sets, and advanced analytical methods.
- Identify necessary data pathways to fulfill insight requirements, collaborating with other consultants and analysts to source expert research or analysis.
- Contribute to the evolution of the insight function's impact and capabilities by providing ideas and solutions to senior leadership.
- Oversee a team of 2-4 Insight Analysts, fostering their development and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based insights.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS / STAKEHOLDERS
- C-Suite and Senior Leaders within the designated area, including the Executive Committee and Chief Marketing Officer.
- Potential for career progression to Lead Insight Consultant or Specialist Lead roles, depending on expertise.
- Accountable for managing a team of Insight Analysts, with no direct financial budget responsibilities.

- Proven expertise in delivering insights and understanding the foundational activities that support strong intelligence.
- Solid grasp of the industry landscape, competitive dynamics, and the business pressures that inform strategic decision-making.
