About the Role

Hunter AHP is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team in Greater Manchester. As a key member of our Adult Mental Health team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessments and prioritize appointments to ensure timely and effective care.
  • Conduct urgent assessments for individuals presenting with acute mental health needs.
  • Develop and implement management plans, follow-up care, referrals, and fast-tracking of patients into specialist services or to Local Liaison and Welfare (LLW).
  • Deliver brief crisis interventions and follow-up appointments to support crisis management and harm minimization for a time-limited period.
  • Provide a range of brief psychological-based interventions for individuals experiencing mental health problems for a time-limited period.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Current and valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Proven experience within a Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) recovery role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
  • Previous experience in working with an Adults team.
