Are you an experienced Project Coordinator in the field of education, eager to contribute to a progressive and nurturing academic environment?

We are seeking a dedicated Mathematics Lecturer to take on a full-time fixed-term position, focusing on enhancing numeracy skills for adult learners.

The compensation for this position ranges from £47,192 to £49,876 per annum, inclusive of London Weighting, contingent upon your qualifications and experience.

Our institution has successfully secured funding aimed at developing numeracy training tailored for adult learners whose specific educational needs are not currently met by existing funding frameworks.

A primary objective is to leverage our current staff to oversee and execute the project, establishing a project team to enhance capacity and skills for co-designing and co-delivering programs alongside our industry collaborators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement lesson plans, including the creation of comprehensive schemes of work.
  • Develop and apply learner-focused assessment strategies, emphasizing constructive feedback for student development.
  • Monitor and report on student attendance, progress, and achievements.
  • Ensure a safe learning environment for all students and staff, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Provide personal coaching and pastoral support to designated students to aid their development and future opportunities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends in your area of expertise to maintain the relevance and employability of our students.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development related to educational theory and practice.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Possess a teaching qualification with experience in Further or Higher Education.

OR

Hold a level 3 qualification in a relevant subject and be willing to pursue a Further Education teaching qualification with our support through our Passport to Teaching program.

All candidates should demonstrate strong administrative abilities, with a focus on accurately tracking student attendance, progress, and achievements.
