Role Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pastry Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional standards of food and customer service, ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory guidelines.

The Role:

  • Prepare and cook high-quality pastries and desserts to meet our exacting standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to maintain a smooth and efficient service.
  • Ensure the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the pastry section.
  • Assist in the accurate completion of Kitchen Cooksafe and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in the cleaning and maintenance of equipment and the kitchen environment.
  • Report any complaints or accidents in accordance with company policy.

The Person:

  • Basic food hygiene certification.
  • NVQ in Professional Cookery and Food Preparation is desirable.
  • Previous experience as a Pastry Chef in a similar-sized concept is preferred.
  • Understanding of HACCP, COSHH, and Health and Safety procedures.
  • Ability to follow specifications and cook to a high standard.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
