We are seeking a caring and personable individual to join our team as an Autism Specialist Support Assistant at our specialist school in Maidenhead.

About the Role:

This is a full-time long-term opportunity to support children with complex Autism and Learning Disabilities. As an Autism Specialist Support Assistant, you will work alongside our therapists and psychologists to provide a therapeutic approach to education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support children with Autism and Learning Disabilities in a specialist school setting
  • Work collaboratively with therapists and psychologists to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
  • Assist with daily living skills, such as personal care and mobility
  • Participate in activities outside of traditional lessons, such as arts and crafts, sports, and outdoor activities
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children or adults with Special Needs
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with children with Autism and Learning Disabilities
