About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and ambitious Senior Practice Accountant to join our dynamic and growing Accountancy Practice in Pembroke. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional client service and driving the practice forward in a digital manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and prepare detailed accountancy and tax work, including personal tax, VAT returns, tax planning, management accounts, statutory accounts preparation, and corporation tax.
- Oversee and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
- Review and finalise work to ensure high-quality standards are met.
- Manage workflow and deadlines, prioritising tasks to meet client needs.
- Prepare financial statements and reports for clients, providing clear and concise explanations of financial data.
- Conduct client meetings, building strong relationships and identifying opportunities for growth.
- Contribute to the growth and strategic direction of the practice, working closely with the Director to drive success.
- Onboard new clients, providing digital training and support to ensure a seamless experience.
Requirements:
- Fully qualified ACA / CTA / ACCA with substantial experience working within accounting practice.
- All-round competence working in a digital environment, with proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Quickbooks, and Dext.
- Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to spot opportunities and drive growth.
- Ability to provide mentoring and guidance to junior accountants, supporting their development and success.
- Confident in developing and maintaining client relationships, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
