Position: SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Richmond

Contract Type: Full-time

Salary: £85 - £100 per day

We are currently recruiting for a reputable educational institution in Richmond who are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team. As an SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing individualized support to students with special educational needs, working closely with teachers and other support staff to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEND, focusing on their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement personalized learning plans, ensuring students receive the support they need to succeed.
  • Contribute to creating a positive and stimulating learning environment, promoting social interaction and inclusion among students.
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents, providing regular updates on student progress and needs.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date with best practices in SEND support and education.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with SEND or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn and develop new skills, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
