About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced oncology physiotherapist to join our team at HCA Cancer Network. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and enthusiastic individual to contribute to the delivery of high-quality physiotherapy services to patients with cancer.

The successful candidate will work independently as an autonomous practitioner, delivering physiotherapy assessment and treatment to support patients at every stage of their cancer journey. The role will involve working with a variety of patients, including private in-patients and out-patients, across different clinical settings.

The ideal candidate will have a clear commitment and interest in oncology conditions and cancer rehabilitation. They will be able to demonstrate commitment to Continuous Professional Development and have post-registration specialist clinical experience working in Oncology and/or Haematology.

The role will also involve the development of others, including colleagues, students, and other healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will contribute to the evaluation and development of clinical practice and service expansion alongside the physiotherapy lead.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver high-quality physiotherapy assessment and treatment to patients with cancer
  2. Work independently as an autonomous practitioner
  3. Develop and implement treatment plans to support patients at every stage of their cancer journey
  4. Contribute to the evaluation and development of clinical practice and service expansion
  5. Develop others, including colleagues, students, and other healthcare professionals

Requirements:

  1. HCPC Registration
  2. Physiotherapy degree qualification or equivalent
  3. Post-registration specialist clinical experience working in Oncology and/or Haematology
  4. Post-registration clinical experience across a wide range of core physiotherapy areas
  5. Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage a demanding workload and prioritise effectively
  6. Understanding of oncology conditions, treatments, and pathways
  7. Advanced communication skills
  8. A passion and interest in cancer care
