Job Title: Electrical Engineering Lecturer

Regent College London is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Electrical Engineering Lecturer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and produce learning and teaching materials for Electrical Engineering modules.
  • Deliver high-quality teaching sessions in face-to-face or online formats, ensuring students engage with the material and achieve learning outcomes.
  • Maintain attendance records and work with the attendance team to ensure accuracy.
  • Develop and implement teaching materials for modules, working in line with Regent Digital provisions.
  • Support the production of assessments and ensure they are approved in accordance with procedures.
  • Identify and escalate cases of possible academic misconduct.
  • Provide student support, addressing issues of engagement or performance, and signposting students to specialist services as needed.
  • Monitor student progress and liaise with specialist services as necessary.
  • Engage with Programme Committee meetings, contributing to continuous improvement of students' learning experiences.
  • Contribute to the accreditation of programmes and quality control processes.
  • Engage in scholarship to support teaching activities and update knowledge.
  • Support the School in its plans and in line with the College's Scholarship Plan.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a relevant subject discipline.
  • Fellowship of the Advanced Higher Education (HEA) or willingness to work towards within 12 months.
  • Sufficient breadth and depth of specialist knowledge in the discipline to develop teaching programmes and provide learning support.
  • Experience of teaching, curriculum development, and quality management and enhancement in an HE environment.
  • Appropriate digital skills in learning, teaching, and assessment.
  • PhD (or submitted and awaiting examination) or equivalence accepted in a relevant subject area, for example by publication or through appropriate professional achievement or willingness to work towards within an agreed timeframe.
  • Teaching qualification or preparedness to work towards.
  • Membership of appropriate Professional Statutory Regulatory Body (PSRB).
