Job Title: Autism Support Worker

Five Education Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with Autism and SEMH needs in a dynamic and inclusive environment.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Support Worker who is passionate about supporting children and young people with Autism and SEMH needs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with SEND, ideally Autism, SEMH, and/or SpLD. Some of the students may be non-verbal and use alternative communication methods such as PECS.

Responsibilities:
  • Support students in the classroom and around the school
  • Support students' social and emotional development, offering encouragement and guidance
  • Help the class teacher with differentiation to ensure all students can access the curriculum
  • Implement behaviour management tools
Requirements:
  • Able to demonstrate positive reinforcement
  • Have an interest in supporting children and young people
  • Right to work in the UK - we cannot accept sponsorship or skilled worker visas
  • Relevant references and DBS/police checks if necessary
  • Able to work 5 days a week (term time only), 8:30-15:30
