Role Overview

This position presents a remarkable opportunity to become a vital part of the Rates Sales desk within Marex's dynamic Capital Markets division. As a key contributor to this newly established team, you will play an instrumental role in driving growth and enhancing profitability for the Multi-product Sales and Execution Desk.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • In-depth understanding of the complete trade life cycle
  • Extensive knowledge of financial service markets and pertinent regulatory frameworks
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in Rates trading.
  • Fundamental grasp of bond mathematics.
  • Experience in a regulated environment with an understanding of associated risk and compliance requirements

Core Responsibilities

  • Identifying and executing Rates management while addressing associated risks.
  • Engaging directly with clients, including banks, hedge funds, market makers, and fund managers.
  • Assisting in the onboarding of new client relationships and maintaining existing ones, while supporting colleagues as needed.
  • Collaborating with central operations functions that support trading roles, including Operations and Technology.
  • Strategizing to enhance P&L through market and product analysis.
  • Ensuring adherence to the company's regulatory obligations under the FCA.
  • Complying with the operational risk framework relevant to your role.
  • Serving as a role model for the highest standards of integrity and conduct, reflecting Company Values.
  • Adhering to the FCA's Code of Conduct at all times.
  • Conducting regulatory activities related to trading books.
  • Maintaining awareness of and compliance with internal policies related to your role.
  • Reporting any policy breaches to Compliance or your supervisor as necessary.
  • Promptly escalating risk events.
  • Contributing to risk management processes as required.
