Role Overview

This position presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a Rates Sales desk within Marex's dynamic and expanding Capital Markets division. As a vital member of this newly established team, you will contribute to driving growth and enhancing profitability for the Multi-Product Sales and Execution Desk.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • In-depth understanding of the complete trade life cycle
  • Thorough knowledge of financial service markets and pertinent regulatory frameworks
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in Rates
  • Fundamental grasp of bond mathematics
  • Experience in a regulated environment with awareness of associated risk and compliance requirements

Primary Responsibilities

  • Identifying and executing Rates products
  • Assisting management in mitigating risks associated with Rates
  • Engaging directly with clients, including banks, hedge funds, market makers, and fund managers
  • Supporting the onboarding of new client relationships and maintaining existing ones
  • Enhancing operational efficiencies, including the preparation of necessary frameworks
  • Collaborating with central operations functions that support trading activities
  • Strategizing to optimize P&L through market and product analysis
  • Ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements set by the FCA
  • Complying with the operational risk framework relevant to your role
  • Exemplifying the highest standards of integrity and conduct, reflecting Company Values
  • Maintaining awareness of and compliance with internal policies
  • Reporting any policy breaches to Compliance or your supervisor
  • Escalating risk events promptly
  • Contributing to risk management processes as needed
