Role Overview

This position presents a unique opportunity to be part of a Rates Sales desk within Marex's dynamic and expanding Capital Markets division. As a vital contributor to this newly established team, you will play a crucial role in driving growth and enhancing profitability for the Multi-Product Sales and Execution Desk.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • In-depth understanding of the complete trade life cycle
  • Extensive knowledge of financial service markets and pertinent regulatory frameworks
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in Rates trading.
  • Fundamental grasp of bond mathematics.
  • Experience in a regulated environment with knowledge of associated risk and compliance standards

Primary Responsibilities

  • Identifying and executing Rates management while mitigating associated risks.
  • Engaging directly with clients, including banks, hedge funds, market makers, and fund managers. Responsible for onboarding new client relationships and maintaining existing ones, providing support as needed, and keeping clients informed.
  • Streamlining processes and contributing to the development of new frameworks.
  • Collaborating with central operations functions that support trading roles, including Operations and Technology.
  • Strategizing to enhance profitability, requiring market and product analysis.
  • Ensuring adherence to the company's regulatory obligations under the FCA.
  • Complying with the operational risk framework relevant to your role.
  • Serving as a role model for the highest standards of integrity and conduct, reflecting Company Values.
  • Complying with the FCA's Code of Conduct at all times.
  • Conducting regulatory activities under the MF trading books.
  • Maintaining client communication.
  • Staying informed of and adhering to internal policies related to your role and responsibilities.
  • Reporting any policy breaches to Compliance or your supervisor as necessary.
  • Promptly escalating risk events.
  • Providing input to risk management processes as required.
