About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Buyer to join our team at Eden Blake Procurement & Supply Chain Search. As a Strategic Buyer, you will be responsible for managing a multi-million pound spend profile, covering direct and indirect spend areas, and implementing category strategies to deliver against the overall department savings plan and other key performance targets.

You will be working closely with key departmental stakeholders, guiding and advising on procurement best practice, and working with them to deliver the best possible solutions to the business. Key Responsibilities
  • Define and implement category strategies for direct and indirect spend areas
  • Manage a multi-million pound spend profile, covering direct and indirect spend areas
  • Implement procurement best practice and work with stakeholders to deliver the best possible solutions
  • Build excellent relationships with key departmental stakeholders
  • Work closely with the procurement team to deliver against the overall department savings plan and other key performance targets
Requirements
  • Proven experience of full lifecycle procurement, ideally in a fast-moving manufacturing environment
  • Strong strategic sourcing and supplier evaluation skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • A positive, tenacious, and resilient attitude
  • Ability to travel both in the UK and overseas when needed
