Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Buyer to join our team at Eden Blake Procurement & Supply Chain Search. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing a multi-million pound spend profile, covering a specific spend area, and delivering against the overall department savings plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement category strategies for key spend areas to deliver against department savings plan and other key performance targets.
  • Run strategic sourcing projects, tender processes, negotiations, contract awards, and supplier relationship management.
  • Build excellent relationships with key departmental stakeholders, guiding and advising on procurement best practice.
  • Provide high-quality goods and services, ensuring compliance with company standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of full lifecycle procurement, ideally in a fast-moving manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive sector.
  • Strong strategic sourcing and supplier evaluation skills, with experience of negotiating and awarding contracts.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to build relationships and influence at all levels of a business.
  • A positive, tenacious, and resilient attitude, with a mindset that constantly looks for opportunities to improve.

What We Offer:

  • Base salary of circa £45,000 to £55,000.
