HR Administrator Role at Sopwell House
Sopwell House, a luxury hotel in Hertfordshire, is seeking an experienced HR Administrator to join our team. As an HR Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting our HR operations, ensuring our team feels valued and empowered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files and send all relevant data to payroll.
- Assist with office administration tasks such as tracking employee attendance and holiday.
- Manage and maintain the uniform store, issuing uniform, keeping track of stock and informing the HR manager when uniform needs to be ordered.
- Preparing offer/rejection letters, employment contracts and new starter documents and ensuring they are sent in a timely manner.
- Writing job adverts and using our Applicant Tracking system, LinkedIn and where required social media to post jobs and attract talent.
- Screening candidates, liaising with managers to schedule interviews and trial shifts and communicate with candidates.
- Conduct pre-employment background checks and reference verifications where required and liaise with the HR Officer and HR Manager to ensure appropriate compliance checks are completed.
- Ensure all new starters are issued with the correct uniform, locker and staff keys, name badges and any other requirement for their role.
Requirements:
- Preferably a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Preferably 1 year of experience in an HR or administrative role. Prior experience as an HR Assistant or similar role is a plus.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
- Ideally a familiarity with employment laws and HR best practices.
