**Job Summary**
Verdant Search is seeking a highly skilled Senior Account Executive to drive sales growth and business development for our client, a pioneering Climate Technology Start Up. As the first business development hire, you will play a critical role in driving sales of their SaaS ESG data solution.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through research, networking, and outreach.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure long-term satisfaction and repeat business.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and provide regular reports on sales performance.
**Requirements**
- Proven track record in sales roles within the sustainability, climate technology, or environmental sectors.
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation to closing deals.
- Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Experience in an ESG SaaS solution business or working with carbon emissions data for scope 3.
