Job Title: Adult Safeguarding Consultant

University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Adult Safeguarding Consultant to join our dynamic and thriving teaching hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the management of in-patients with diabetes and endocrine problems.
  • Supervise junior doctors and nursing staff.
  • Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
Requirements:
  • Full and specialist registration in GIM with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Holder of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), or evidence of within six months of award of CCT in D&E or equivalent by date of interview.
  • Higher academic qualification e.g. MD, PhD or equivalent.
  • Evidence of thorough and broad training and experience in Diabetes and Endocrinology.
Desirable Skills:
  • Skills in the management of insulin pump patients, diabetes technologies, diabetes foot disease, endocrine and diabetes antenatal conditions and general endocrine disease.
  • Participation in continuing professional development (CPD) scheme and, where relevant, evidence of participation.
  • Ability to increase the academic profile of the department.
