About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safeguarding Adults Officer to join our team at North Somerset Council. As a key member of our safeguarding adults service, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable adults in our community.

About You

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual who is committed to promoting the rights and strengths of adults at risk of abuse. You will have a strong background in safeguarding adults work, with experience of making S.42(1) decisions and undertaking S.42(2) safeguarding adults enquiries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the local authority response to safeguarding adults concerns
  • Make S.42(1) decisions and undertake S.42(2) safeguarding adults enquiries
  • Work closely with the safeguarding adults manager and senior safeguarding adults officers to ensure effective safeguarding practices
