Role Overview

As a Van Mobile Engineer at Smart Managed Solutions, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage all engineering assets to ensure seamless operations across the Southern Region while minimizing unplanned disruptions in a cost-effective manner.

You will manage the reactive works process, ensuring that requests are addressed and resolved in line with established procedures. Additionally, you will develop management tools to actively report on asset and building performance, providing recommendations for enhancements.

Working Schedule

Monday to Friday
08:00 - 17:00

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on all electrical and mechanical systems according to site task schedules and asset inventories.
  • Address reactive tasks throughout designated buildings, proactively identifying areas for improvement, including concessionary stores and fabric-related issues.
  • Swiftly rectify plant faults and defects to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Ensure availability of necessary spare parts for both maintenance and reactive tasks, providing inventory and estimated timelines for remedial actions.
  • Maintain the Computer-Based Maintenance system, ensuring PPM and reactive tickets are updated and closed with accurate data.
  • Complete all relevant documentation regarding reactive and breakdown works, ensuring timely submission to the contract administrator.
  • Prepare and utilize Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks to uphold safe working practices.
  • Complete assigned tasks with a strong awareness of Health & Safety protocols.
  • Adhere to contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Exhibit the professional image and core values of Smart Managed Solutions at all times.
  • Ensure all plant rooms under Smart Managed Solutions' responsibility are secured and maintained in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Provide out-of-hours emergency callout support as scheduled.
