Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Health and Safety Plans: Create and execute comprehensive health and safety plans to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Conduct Risk Assessments: Identify and assess potential hazards in the workplace, and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Manage Third-Party Providers: Oversee the performance of third-party health and safety providers, ensuring they meet our standards and procedures.
- Train and Educate Employees: Provide training and presentations on health and safety matters, accident prevention, and emergency procedures.
- Investigate Incidents: Conduct thorough investigations into accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and recommending solutions.
- Develop and Enforce Policies: Create and implement policies to promote a culture of health and safety, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the Compliance Team: Work closely with the compliance team to develop and implement health and safety strategies, and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Proven Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably in a logistics or transportation industry.
- Qualifications: A NEBOSH certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent, and an internal auditing qualification (e.g., ISO45001).
- Knowledge and Skills: In-depth knowledge of UK H&S legislation, data analysis, and risk assessment, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
