Senior Glazing Operations Manager

Hunter Mason Consulting Ltd is a leader in delivering specialized glazing and façade solutions for commercial properties. They are currently looking for a Senior Glazing Operations Manager to enhance their maintenance team.

Role Overview:

  • Directly report to the Divisional Associate Director regarding ongoing projects.
  • Participate in Handover meetings led by the Divisional Associate Director and oversee project management post-handover with the support of Project Coordinators.
  • Oversee Project Coordinators from project initiation to completion and effectively allocate Site Operatives to each assignment.
  • Provide guidance and technical advice to Project Coordinators on all aspects of glazing projects.
  • Conduct site visits to assess access and lifting equipment needs, ensuring Method Statements and Risk Assessments are accurately prepared.
  • Perform quality reviews of all project RAMS created by Project Coordinators.
  • Coordinate the delivery of materials, equipment, and installation teams to ensure project completion.
  • After project completion, ensure timely invoicing and payment processes are followed.
  • Conduct site surveys to evaluate the condition of glass and associated systems.
  • Review and assess survey condition reports prepared by Project Coordinators for quality and technical accuracy.
  • Assist the small works division with any additional tasks as directed by the Divisional Associate Director.
  • Supervise all health and safety protocols on-site and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Ensure projects are executed profitably and report any deviations from the agreed scope of work.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working at heights on commercial glazing projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of commercial glazing and related systems.
  • Familiarity with the demands of maintenance projects involving multiple small-scale assignments.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Relevant experience in glazing maintenance is essential.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and installation teams is required, along with a valid CSCS card for the role, and either SMSTS or SSSTS certification or willingness to obtain it.
  • Willingness to travel for projects across the mainland UK.
  • Flexibility in working hours is necessary, as some tasks may need to be performed during evenings or weekends.
  • A confident and adaptable approach is crucial.
  • Must be proactive, organized, a team player, and possess the ability to think critically and prioritize effectively.
