We are seeking a skilled Health Care Assistant to join our team at a leading co-educational school in Portsmouth. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating the Health and Wellbeing Centre and providing support to the School Nurses.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinating the Health and Wellbeing Centre and providing medical care, first aid, and health and wellbeing support to pupils and staff.
- Supporting the School Nurses in their daily tasks and responsibilities.
- Providing a high level of customer service to pupils, parents, and staff.
- Working effectively as part of a small professional team to achieve goals and objectives.
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or a related field.
- Current First Aid qualification, either in First Aid at Work or in Paediatric First Aid.
- Experience of working in a team, ideally in a customer-facing role working with the public or young people.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with pupils, parents, and staff.
- Ability to work flexibly and under pressure, with a high level of self-motivation.
A competitive salary of £22,613, paid term-time only. The opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality health and wellbeing services to pupils and staff.
