Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Freelance Visual Merchandising Designer to join our Retail Design and Visual Merchandising team. As a Freelance Visual Merchandising Designer, you will be responsible for the development of new retail concepts in Store Design and permanent Visual Merchandising elements aligned with Global guidelines in response to specific market needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Creative:
    • Adaptation and development of new retail concept in Store Design and permanent Visual Merchandising elements aligned with Global guidelines in response to specific market needs.
    • Assist the Visual Merchandising and Retail Design Director and Senior Retail Design Manager in aligning store design and visual merchandising strategy.
    • Research new trends and activities in design, fashion, and beauty, to make proposals and recommendations to the wider European stakeholders.
  • Operational:
    • Responsible for end-to-end project management from conceptualization through approval, development, manufacture, and installation.
    • Work with the European Store Design, Visual Merchandising, and Marketing teams to ensure the latest brand design is deployed in all channels and markets where required.
    • Introduction and development of selected suppliers to streamline creation of store design and permanent Visual Merchandising elements while ensuring consistency across all channels.
    • Carry out tenders to ensure best price and service for each installation is achieved.
    • Regular field visits to ensure that all permanent implementation in-store is of a high standard and consistent with brand image guidelines.
    • Responsible for analyzing and tracking counter performance and assessing trial concepts.
  • General:
    • To create and implement consistent standards across the Retail Design department.
    • Partnering with internal and external stakeholders, including National Accounts, to understand the launch program to provide full design support.
  • People:
    • Work collaboratively with local markets and wider EU team to support business growth through Retail Design execution.
    • Relevant degree in design, art, or related field.
    • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
    • Producing conceptual design packs to share with retailers and internal teams.
    • Ability to create, communicate, and implement consistent store design and permanent Visual Merchandising strategy.
    • Passion for exceptional representation of the brand at all times.
    • Ability to act on own initiative and take ownership of projects and tasks through to successful completion.
    • Positive, 'can-do' attitude and willingness to be involved with all nominated projects.
    • Flexible approach to work, ability to support changing needs and demands.
    • Willing to travel (both UK and Europe).
    • Portfolio of previously created and implemented projects.
