CField Construction, a leading building and civil engineering contractor, is seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to join our team. As a Design Manager, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of our projects, working closely with the Project Manager and Quantity Surveyors to ensure the day-to-day management of all drawing issues and the flow and coordination of same.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of accurate and coordinated design information from the inception of projects and sketch schemes through design development to the construction phases, culminating with as-built information. You will control and manage both internal resources and external consultants to ensure the preparation of design information in a timely manner to support the projects' overall design, procurement, and construction programs.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate the design team to ensure the delivery of high-quality design information
- Work closely with the Project Manager and Quantity Surveyors to ensure the day-to-day management of all drawing issues
- Control and manage internal resources and external consultants to ensure the preparation of design information in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with company health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, design teams, and subcontractors
- Assist in the preparation of comprehensive snag lists for subcontractor works
- Support the development of project programs and progress reports
- Facilitate the timely and professional flow of information between the design team and the construction team
- Attend internal management team meetings and contribute to the design process and management systems
- Excellent IT and Microsoft Office skills
