Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Engineer to join our team at Contechs. As a Materials Engineer - Surface Materials Specialist, you will be responsible for evolving surface materials and technologies across various vehicle programs to concept and application readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and mature material concepts to application readiness, focusing on production feasibility and manufacturing technologies.
  • Collaborate with Materiality Designers, Suppliers, and the wider Bespoke team to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Lead the Surface Material Integration team in material and component commodity expertise, ensuring seamless integration with production processes.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of production feasibility, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Develop and manage timing plans and program manage commodity developments to ensure timely delivery.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in color matching of materials, with a strong understanding of material manufacturing and implementation into component technology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to and communicate at all levels.
  • Proficient in creating timing plans and program managing commodity developments.
  • Full driving license and ability to travel within the EU.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the automotive sector, with a strong understanding of product design and aesthetic judgment.
