Senior Commissioning Editor

The Senior Commissioning Editor will play a pivotal role in driving the acquisition and development of high-quality research content for Lexis+ in line with Legal Markets' strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities- Commissioning new content across multiple market sectors, ensuring the most suitable author/provider is identified to deliver exceptional content.
- Managing the commissioning process, agreeing content, budget, and deadlines with authors.
- Preparing strategic summaries of practice areas to inform business cases for new products and enhancements.
- Contributing to budgeting and re-forecasting processes, owning and managing publications.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with existing and potential authors to facilitate smooth commissioning of work.
- Maintaining market and subject area knowledge.
- Assisting GTMs team with customer visits and gathering insights.
- Collecting market intelligence on competitors and providing analysis and interpretation.
- Experience in high-quality content commissioning in a publishing firm (Legal desirable).
- Strong awareness of prioritizing work to deadlines and budget.
- Attention to detail and management of end-to-end processes.
- Able to build strong relationships with key internal teams and stakeholders.
- Able to build strategic relationships with leading law firms and authors.
