CAP Engineer (Powered Access / LOLER)

We are seeking a skilled CAP Engineer with a background in powered access to join our team at Ernest Gordon Recruitment. As a key member of our industrial hire business, you will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining our fleet of equipment, including Cherry Pickers, Scissor Lifts, and Ariel Work Platforms.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of powered access platforms and machinery, as well as excellent written and verbal skills to complete progress checks and sign off paperwork to required internal and external standards.

The role involves:

  • Maintaining and upkeeping of Powered Access Equipment
  • Carrying out PDI's (pre delivery Inspections)
  • Completing any repairs that of varied fleet
  • Working in partnership with the hire desk to ensure all equipment is readily available for customers' needs
  • Completing all relevant checks and engineering paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
  • Whilst the majority of work in the warehouse, you may have to travel to client sites in order to fix breakdowns when required

The ideal candidate will have:

  • CAP Qualification for Powered Access Equipment
  • IPAF Demonstrator grades 1B, 3A and 3B
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Full UK driving license
