Job Summary

The Commercial Finance Partner will play a crucial role in supporting the Amazon Web Services (AWS) division in driving business growth and profitability. This position will be responsible for providing financial analysis and strategic guidance to the commercial team and finance department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Prepare and publish timely financial results, including quarterly business review decks, to internal stakeholders and vendors.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Coordinate and direct the preparation of budgets and forecasts for the business division, ensuring accurate and reliable financial data.
  • Business Development: Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities for continuous improvement of margins and develop action plans to achieve these goals.
  • Vendor Management: Assist the HR and FIN community in ensuring compliance with HC and payroll guidelines, including vendor-funded HC.
  • Financial Modeling and Presentations: Support vendor teams in obtaining senior leadership approval for new initiatives by preparing financial models and executive presentations.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a finance or controlling role in an international company.
  • Qualifications: Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Industry Sector Experience: Preferable experience in FP&A or another Business Partner role.
  • Skills: Analytical, able to focus complex numbers into meaningful analysis, ability to deal with highly confidential information, and prioritize appropriately.
  • Deadline-Oriented: Able to work well under pressure, has strong sense of urgency/prioritization.
  • People Skills: Strong people skills, willing to speak up and be heard by senior management, along with ability to communicate insight coherently.
