About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team at Shift F5 - Technology Recruitment. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in enhancing our client's AWS-based infrastructure and contributing to a cutting-edge project at the intersection of life sciences and fintech.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the platform team to bolster environment stability and ensure seamless deployment of applications.
  • Oversee the migration from ECS/Fargate to EKS, ensuring minimal disruption to existing services.
  • Guide engineers in crafting secure, reusable Dockerfiles for Python/FastAPI and other environments, promoting best practices and standardization.
  • Troubleshoot container deployment issues and refine incident response procedures to minimize downtime and maximize system availability.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience as a DevOps or UNIX Systems Engineer, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Proven proficiency in container orchestration (ECS, EKS, AKS, GKE, Serverless), with expertise in Kubernetes principles and container runtime environments (Podman, Docker).
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, CloudFormation), with experience in containerized logging solutions and programming skills (Python preferred, others considered).
  • Advanced UNIX knowledge and familiarity with container monitoring software, with a track record in VPC creation and management.
