About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a highly regarded Primary School in Tower Hamlets. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the best possible educational experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide focused support to students with SEMH needs, including ADHD and potential self-harming behaviors.
  • Aid students across Key Stages 1 and 2, adapting to various educational needs.
  • Create an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere, utilizing your expertise to foster growth and development.
  • Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to implement tailored support plans and interventions.
  • Build positive relationships with students, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.

Requirements
  • Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of SEN, safeguarding, and child protection practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Relevant qualifications and/or training in education, SEN, or child development are desirable.
