Materials Manager

Coyle Personnel is seeking a highly skilled Materials Manager - Rolling Stock Procurement to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for providing a proactive procurement support service to our designated fleet for engineered parts, facilities, all goods, and services in accordance with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide a proactive procurement support service to the designated fleet, ensuring that all procurement activity is in cohesion with strategic procurement planning and supports the development of strategic business objectives.
- Ensure that materials of the required standards are available at the production facility to meet the requirements of the maintenance operation.
- Liaise with the Materials Control Manager to resolve warranty failed product issues for the designated fleet and take the lead role in negotiating claim settlements for products covered by contractual warranty.
- Work closely with depot management and SAG warranty representatives to ensure timely conclusion of warranty claims.
- Collaborate with Fleet Engineering/Technical representatives to assist in coordination with investigative efforts and address quality concerns with suppliers.
- Develop a relationship with customers to provide a stable foundation for future business opportunities.
- Implement and comply with company HSQE policies and communicate health and safety responsibilities to the team.
- 3 years' experience in Rail materials, stores, or engineering position.
- Detailed knowledge of materials and stores management procedures and warranty process.
- Good knowledge of IT systems and software, including MRP - Materials Requirements Planning and SAP - finance related systems.
