About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Facilities Maintenance Team at HMP Warren Hill. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our facilities, working closely with experienced colleagues to deliver a high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs to commercial and industrial heating and water systems
  • Work to Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and resolve maintenance issues
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of maintenance plans and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety requirements
Requirements
  • Two years' experience working in a role as a plumber or equivalent
  • Familiarity with Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
  • Experience working on commercial or industrial heating and water systems
  • Good working knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements
  • Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge
  • Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
