Job Description

TEC Partners - Technical Recruitment Specialists is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out maintenance duties on various types of machinery across multiple sites in Suffolk and Norfolk.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct planned maintenance in a highly regulated environment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Isolate defective equipment from the power supply, inspect visually for faults, test mechanical parts, identify problem areas, and take corrective action to repair issues.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure smooth operation and replace worn and defective parts.
  • Install electrical systems and associated equipment, followed by certification to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Adhere to safety rules and apply good electrical and safety practices to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Participate in company-standard internal workshops and training to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management, and demonstrate a flexible approach to work patterns.
  • Use initiative, pay attention to detail, work both as part of a team and independently, maintain a high standard of organization, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, with a strong background in electrical maintenance and repair.
  • C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing certification, with a valid 18th Edition qualification.
  • Full UK Driving Licence, with a willingness to travel to various sites within a 25-mile distance.
Working Conditions:
  • Monday to Friday, start time from 6am, with on-call duties on alternative weeks/weekends.
  • 48-hour weeks, with overtime available.
