We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our Theatres and Anaesthetics Department as Head of Theatres and Anaesthetics. This is a senior leadership role that requires a strong clinical background, excellent operational management skills, and the ability to drive business growth and improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-level operational and strategic leadership to support the development and growth of the Theatres and Anaesthetics Department.
- Lead the review of relevant strategies and service plans to underpin the strategic objectives of the services and the hospital.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders to support the delivery of Bupa Cromwell Hospital's strategy and act as the key link between services users and the hospital from both a quality and commercial performance perspective.
- Own and maintain key performance measures for the services, which monitor key outcomes and demonstrate delivery of ambitious targets to continually improve performance.
- Engage and influence service users (consultants), providing overarching relationship management between the Hospital and key service users.
- Own the performance of the Division, where improvement requires cross-functional activity, lead and co-ordinate this to resolution.
- Senior leadership experience or a Master's in Health Management or MBA.
- A successful track record of strategic planning and decision-making in a competitive environment.
- Able to demonstrate capability and capacity for clinical service management at a senior level in a healthcare environment, including strategic business planning, service delivery, staff and financial management.
- Strong commercial awareness and good general management experience, understanding the impact of operational efficiencies (and inefficiencies) on the overall revenue performance.
- Equivalent to 25 days holiday per year, increasing through length of service, with option to buy or sell.
