About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled individual to join our team as the Head of Theatres and Anaesthetics. This is a key leadership role that will play a critical part in the delivery of high-quality patient care and the development of our clinical services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Theatres and Anaesthetics department, ensuring that we deliver high-quality patient care and meet our clinical and operational targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our clinical teams, patients, and stakeholders to ensure that we are delivering a patient-centred service that meets their needs.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve patient outcomes, reduce waiting times, and increase efficiency in our theatres and anaesthetics services.
  • Lead and manage a team of clinical and non-clinical staff, providing coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge they need to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Work closely with our finance and operational teams to develop and implement effective business plans and strategies that support the delivery of our clinical services.
  • Ensure that we are compliant with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including those related to patient safety, data protection, and equality and diversity.

Requirements

  • Significant experience of working in a senior leadership role in a healthcare setting, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality patient care and improving clinical outcomes.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of clinical and non-clinical staff.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with patients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
  • Ability to think strategically and develop effective business plans and strategies that support the delivery of our clinical services.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
