About the Position:

Teaching Personnel is in search of a compassionate and skilled Autism Support Teaching Assistant to become part of a dedicated team within a school environment. In this capacity, you will deliver essential support to primary-aged learners with ASD, facilitating their engagement in learning, enhancing social skills, and helping them reach their utmost potential.

Key Duties:

  • Provide individualized support to students with ASD, working both one-on-one and in small groups, tailored to their unique requirements.
  • Assist the classroom teacher in fostering a structured, nurturing, and stimulating learning atmosphere.
  • Implement targeted strategies and interventions to aid the educational and developmental progress of students with ASD.
  • Support students in overcoming communication, social interaction, and sensory processing difficulties, encouraging positive behavior and emotional health.
  • Track and document student progress, offering insights to the teacher and Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO).
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and external specialists to ensure a comprehensive approach to student assistance.

  • Experience in working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ideally within an educational framework.
