About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team at North Yorkshire County Council, working at our residential service, Sunnyborough. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering vulnerable adults with learning disabilities and Autism to live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred support to empower individuals with learning disabilities and Autism to become more independent.
  • Work as part of a team to deliver a support plan that promotes the well-being and dignity of the individuals we support.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of support, ensuring that the needs of the individuals are met.
  • Support individuals to develop life skills, such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, and managing their finances, at home and in the community.
  • Empower individuals to participate in their hobbies and interests in the community, promoting social inclusion and community engagement.
