Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team at Blue Oak Recruitment. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial health of our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts, ensuring alignment with company goals and strategies.
- Variance Analysis: Conduct detailed variance analysis between actual performance and budget/forecast, identifying key drivers of variances and providing actionable insights and recommendations to management for corrective actions or performance improvement.
- Cost Accounting: Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, and overheads, ensuring accurate allocation of costs to products and projects.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory valuation and management, ensuring accurate reporting and minimizing excess stock levels.
- Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with operational teams to identify and implement process improvements that drive efficiency, cost savings, and financial performance.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with production, supply chain, and other departments to provide financial guidance and support decision-making processes.
Requirements:
- Full qualification in CIMA or equivalent.
- Experience gained in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience in variance analysis, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
- Highly developed IT skills.
- Ability to communicate financial information to non-finance colleagues.
Salary: Circa £45,000.
