Senior Financial Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our team at Sykes Cottages Limited. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making.
- Manage and supervise a team of financial analysts and accountants to ensure the delivery of high-quality financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and accounting standards to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Provide training and support to staff on financial policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the development of the company's financial strategy and business plan.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial accounting and reporting, with experience in a similar role. They will be a strategic thinker with excellent communication and leadership skills.
Requirements
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
