IT Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. As a key member of our IT Applications service, you will play a critical role in delivering 100s of IT applications and systems to our staff and patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide first and second-line support for IT applications and systems
- Work closely with other team members and eHealth staff to resolve complex problems
- Communicate technical solutions and problems to non-technical users
- Represent the team at meetings involving senior managers and non-eHealth staff
You should have both theoretical and practical experience of IT systems gained through a relevant degree or diploma or equivalent practical experience. You should also have experience in the specification and support of IT applications within a complex environment, and be proficient in the role of IT applications support and service delivery.
Able to resolve complex problems working under a high-pressure situation. Able to communicate clearly about technical solutions and problems with non-technical users. Work closely with other team members and eHealth staff and 3rd parties and collaborate with project teams. Able to represent the team at meetings involving senior managers and non-eHealth staff.
