Position Title: Children's Centre Receptionist
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Children's Centre Receptionist to join our team in Birmingham. This role involves engaging with the local community and supporting various parent groups.
Contract Details: This is a long-term position, operating Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a busy reception area, directing service users to relevant resources.
- Sign in visitors and handle incoming telephone inquiries.
- Perform general administrative tasks including filing, photocopying, and email management.
Required Skills: Candidates must possess strong IT capabilities, as multiple in-house systems will be utilized. Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone demeanor are essential, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. A solid understanding of 'Child Protection and Safeguarding' protocols is crucial for this role.
Experience: Recent experience in a school reception environment is required, along with satisfactory references. An enhanced DBS check is mandatory for all personnel working in educational settings.
