About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at ESS Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant facilities and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electro-Mechanical Repairs: Perform electro-mechanical repairs to our PLC-controlled plant, handling and conveying equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.
  • Plant Maintenance: Maintain the plant facilities and services, including compressed air systems.
  • Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Input to and carry out preventive and predictive maintenance routines to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Operations Support: Support the operations team in achieving targets and ensuring the efficient operation of our plant.
  • Equipment Procurement: Work with equipment suppliers on new equipment and installations, as well as modifications to existing equipment.
  • Fault Detection & Repair: Be observant and work independently to detect faults and take action based on your best judgment to effect immediate repair or schedule maintenance.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including transit areas, the workshop, and stores.
  • Training & Development: Participate in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge, including cross-skilling and other job-related competencies.
  • CMMS Input: Input data into our maintenance management system (CMMS), including records of all changes, stores transactions, and work carried out.
Person Specification
  • Qualifications: Trades qualification in Electrical with good Mechanical knowledge.
  • Multi-Skilled Ethos: Demonstrate a multi-skilled or cross-skilled approach to work.
  • Process Awareness: Show aptitude for process awareness and diagnostic/trouble-shooting experience gained in a high-volume environment.
  • Team Player: Demonstrate good team player skills and the ability to use your initiative.
  • Computer Skills: Possess computer skills, an advantage.
